It's 5 minute Friday again!!! I'm joining LisaJo over at The Gypsy Mama for another linkup. Here is a recap on the rules:
1. Write for 5 minutes flat for pure unedited love of the written word.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. Go buck wild with encouragement for the five minuter who linked up before you.
The prompt this week is, "When seasons change...."
Start: 8:56
I love the changes in seasons so much, but I need to remember that other changes in seasons are good too--the changes in life seasons. It can be easy to be afraid of change--I like life the way it is now, and what if the next change changes TOO much? What if I don't like what the new normal will be?
But God is in control of more than the awesome changes in the earth's seasons. He's in control of the seasons of my life. When I look at the seasons of the earth I see only beauty, and God can work that same beauty into the seasons of our lives if we let Him.
Time!!! (9:01)
Sophia, you have a charming and welcoming blog! Found you at 5 Minute Friday, and yes(!), God is in control of the seasons, coloring beautiful you! -Shari
ReplyDeleteAfter growing up in Africa where we don't have these kinds of seasons, I have LOVED living in them here in the States - you're so right - each one has something so unique and special to anticipate.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up today!
~Lisa-Jo
Excited for the "change of season" that is coming for you. It is going to be sweet!
ReplyDeleteThank so much, Shari, for stopping by!!
ReplyDeleteLisa-Jo, it is so hard for me to imagine living somewhere where there AREN'T changes in seasons like we have here!! That is definitely something I would miss (though, of course, there are other beautiful things to enjoy in Africa!).
Dayebydaye--we're so excited also! Though, like I mentioned, sometimes moving from one season to another can be scary. But not if I remember Who is in charge of the changes in season!!
So true that it is much easier to accept the weather changes and seasons than it is the changes and seasons of our lives. But great reminder that God is in control of all of it!
